New South Bend Office Opens

The Centre for Working Hands is excited to announce that it has opened a new office in South Bend. The new practice provides hand reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation services to patients in Michiana.

The new office is located temporarily on the fourth floor of Medical Pavilion I at 720 East Cedar Street, Suite 450. Our board certified plastic surgeons Ronald Downs, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Patrick Viscardi, M.D. will both have office hours at the new South Bend office. We will also have office hours there for our hand therapists.

In Spring 2010, The Centre will move permanently into the Medical Office Building attached to the new Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center currently under construction in Mishawaka. This new office will have an onsite state-certified operating room and full hand rehabilitation clinic.

“We’re excited to expand our hand expertise to patients in South Bend,” said Dr. Downs, who founded The Centre, P.C. in Elkhart in 1992. “This new office allows us to locally treat patients with traumatic hand injuries and cumulative trauma disorders.”

The Centre for Working Hands in South Bend is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule a consultation with a physician or therapist, call 574-296-9100 or 800-909-2992.
